Singalila trek in winter with off road adventure

My girlfriend and I signed up for a 6-day Singalila trek and thoroughly enjoyed it. Sangay from off road adventure provided an excellent guide who spoke good English, and the tour was extremely well organised, including mountain-grade sleeping bags in addition to the blankets supplied by the home stays (chilly at night). sangay met with us the day before the trek to answer all our questions and provide a detailed packing list. The trek is easy to moderate, with mainly sloping trails rather than uneven terrain. Anyone with a reasonable level of fitness can easily make this trek. The views were stunning, and we got up at 5:30am on several mornings to see a spectacular sunrise over the Himalayas.

Singalila ridge trek with Off Road Adventure was an Excellent choice we made.

We did the 5 day 4 nights Singalila trek with Off Road Adventure. Firstly the trek was awesome, the views are amazing. The places we stayed were really nice, with good rooms, comfortable beds and many blankets. Secondly our guide Karma was lovely and really looked after us constantly making sure we were happy, he fed us so much we are sure we put on weight and was a genuinely nice guy and good company. Finally the company were good and arranged for me to take a horse on the trek even though it is not the done thing, I just like horses. The price was also good for the service we got with all the transfers, accommodation, meals etc and we decided to go with them as they seemed more professional than others and even carry a medical kit with altitude sickness medicine and the price was the same or less than other companies. Would highly recommend this place as a good professional trekking place, its one of the best treks we have done!

Friendliest Trekking Guide i Ever met.

We hiked the Singalila trek with two children aged 13 and 9 in Decembre 2018. The overall experience was great. Our guide Karma was always attentive, patient and did his best to meet our needs. The trek is easy, although very cold in this time of the year. The only thing we missed was taking our sleeping bags, because the accommodation is basic, and there is no heating at all. The food is basic too .But the people are friendly and the scenery awesome! Later we drove with our guide to Jaldapara National Park, the experience there was also very good, we rode on elefants through the jungle and found a rhino! We surely recommend Off Road, they made our trip easy, thank you!

Singalila Trek - an amazing experience

Four of we college boys went for the Sandakphu Trek with Offroad Adventures. Our guide's name was Shekhar, who had done this about a 1000 times and was very well trained and experienced. Our porter's name was Jerry and he accompanied us all the way up to Sandakphu and back. The five day trek began with a lot of climbing and we faced heavy rains on the very first day itself. Despite that, we had a great time trudging along the India Nepal border through Singalila National Park. On the second day we climbed up to Sandakphu, seeing some rare birds on the way up. Sandakphu has a great view but unfortunately it was too cloudy for us to enjoy it. The third day saw us going to Phalut where we spent an amazing night under the stars and even saw the Kanchenjunga the next morning. The fourth day, we went to Gorkhey and that was the best day of all. We took some shortcuts on our way which were quite slippery but thrilling. At Gorkhey, we spent time enjoying at the Gorkhey river. On the last day we trekked back and were lucky enough to see pheasants, rare flightless birds on the way. Overall it was an experience of a lifetime which one must never miss if having an opportunity.

Well organised and commendable trek!

I can't thank enough to Shekar and Goredaju for making this trek the best trek so far. My husband and I planned to go for trekking in north east and got in touch with Off Road Adventure and we were suggested a 5 day trek in Singalila National Park. Entire route and pit stops were well planned by Shekar and team. Words are too less to describe the views of the snow glazed mountains. On our journey, we saw Mt. Everest, Khangchendzonga, Makalu and several other peaks. Everyday's meals were well planned. Our guide, Shekar and porter, Goredaju were very humble and had lot of patience to bear us, slow walkers. Not a single day they pushed us or were rude, even when I lost my patience. A big thanks to Shekar and Goredaju for making this trek a memorable one.

Wonderful singalila 7 days experience

We recently did a 7 day trek in Singalila National Park area also commonly called as Sandakphu trek. We read several blogs and prepared our itinerary and then approached Sangay from Offroad Adventures to get a good packaged. Sangay not only gave us a great price but with their several years of experience they were able to optimize our itinerary, provide all accommodation even at the very last minute. Their senior guide Shekar was very helpful and knowledgeable. We plan to do more treks with them in future. They are a very transparent and honest group of people, rare in touristy places these days.

Great Trek in India & Nepal (Singalila National Park)

Great 4 day hiking experience throughout the Singalila National Park! Robin, Dekay, and Paku were the best guide, porter, and driver, respectively! All were extremely knowledgeable about the local flora & fauna; and provided very friendly conversation throughout the 4 day trek. The monsoon season was a little longer this year, so our trip was slightly wet... but we still had a great experience. Robin continued to provide positive encouragement throughout the trek and allowed us to "set our pace". Would highly recommend Off Road Adventure to anyone looking for a friendly, and attentive trek. I understand they also offer longer trips, as well as many other adventure activities - such as paragliding and rafting. We would definitely consider coming back in the April/May time-frame to see the flowers in bloom; and if so I will certainly request the same team. Robin went above and beyond expectations and even helped us find tea gifts in Darjeeling even after our trek ended! 110% satisfied!

Great Trekking in Darjeeling

We did a five day trek in the Singalila National park, including the ridge between Sandakphu and Phalut. We didn't see many of the views as the fog was pretty thick but our guide Sekhar and porter, Jerry, made it a really good experience. Even though the weather was poor (it was freezing cold some nights) the landscape was amazing and the forests particularly on the last two days were really beautiful (can't comment much about the first two as the fog was pretty bad). Great local village experience, particularly the food. On the last night we were taught how to make momos and sampled traditional chhochi and changoo (rice wine!). Walking wasn't too difficult, some steep climbs but nothing impossible. Thanks guys!

Singalila trek with boyfriend

My boyfriend and I spent our holidays in Darjeeling between 3 and 8 Oct, during which we did a 3-day trekking in Singalila National Park. The owner Mr.Sangay, was very professional and helpful, he not only helped us arrange the transportation and the trekking but also book the railway tickets for us when we couldn't. They also offer other activities like paragliding, rock climbing, etc. Too bad we didn't have enough time to try! Our guide was Robin, who's a very kind, nice and funny person. He went out of his way to take care of us and made this tough journey very pleasant :) Thank you! Our driver was Paku, who's also very professional and out going. We enjoyed watching him say hello to everyone in town, haha, the good vibe always made our day:) We definitely recommend their service

Really authentic experience with Off Road Adventures

Had an amazing time on my trek. My guides spoke great English and knew every one of the families in the towns along our route. So they really helped to immerse me into the local culture, getting me to try tasty af traditional food and drinks, and teaching me so much about the local people and their history along the way. Even though the weather was far from ideal and very cold throughout my journey, the views of the landscape were incredible and I had so much fun hanging out with my guides. Would highly recommend doing this trek.

6 days High altitude Trek to Singalila National Park

The Singalia Ridge Trek with Off Road Adventures and had a wonderful time. That was mostly down to my guide, Sekhar, who is brilliant. He was eternally patient and generous even when i was frustrated and being very stubborn. It felt like he really cared about making the trek interesting and special. I can't recommend him highly enough. The weather wasn't always great but it is still a beautiful trek and i would definitely say it has been the highlight of my trip.
